IIBI has a Board of Trustees | Directors, with an Honorary Vice Chairman and Executive Director General who are assisted by four Advisory Groups whom the Institute can approach for guidance on particular aspects of the expertise of the members. The position of Chairman is presently vacant and was previous held by the founder, late Mr Muazzam Ali, who passed away in May, 2005.
The Director General is charged with governance of the Institute and ensuring the effective management of its property and affairs to enable the effective implementation of the strategic plans and the Institute mission statement and charitable objects.
The Institute has four advisory groups whose members bring unique knowledge and skills which complement the knowledge and skills of the Board Members and the Dirctor General, to lend much needed support to IIBI's strategic planning, initiatives and fund raising effort.
