Global Perspective

Since the 1990s we have educated a wide range of students from at least 90 countries around the world.

Over the years we have proved to be a durable organisation and successful students are working in the Islamic finance industry world-wide.

Experience

We led the way in providing the on-line first Diploma course in Islamic banking in 1994. However, we were already active in holding lectures on Islamic banking and Islamic insurance in the City of London from the mid-1985, followed by training seminars, executive development programmes and international conferences.

IIBI Courses

Our courses by distance learning offer a unique combination of theoretical aspects and practical application. The courses are extremely well organised, reasonably paced and suitable for those with limited banking, insurance and investment background.

Students feedback rate our courses highly. A student of our Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance commented, “it is the finest and most professionally composed courses I have studied.” A student of our Diploma in Islamic Banking commented, “All the courses I take was so impressive”.

Students completing our Post Graduate Diploma have the opportunity to advance to higher education in Islamic finance at an University.

Accreditation

Until January 2024 we were accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education as an Online, Distance and Blended Learning provider. However, we did not renew our application because of the high fees for continuing this accreditation.

There would have been no career in Islamic for me and many of my friends who started at the time with me without the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance.
